F2: Fun and Frustration is a 2019 Indian Telugu-language comedy drama film, written and directed by Anil Ravipudi, and produced by Dil Raju under their production house Sri Venkateswara Creations and co-produced by Sirish-Laxman. The film stars Venkatesh, Varun Tej, Tamannaah Bhatia and Mehreen Pirzada in the lead roles. It also features Prakash Raj, Nassar, Rajendra Prasad, Vennela Kishore, Priyadarshi Pullikonda, Prudhviraj, Raghu Babu, Subbaraju, Srinivasa Reddy, Satyam Rajesh and Brahmaji in pivotal roles.

The story of the film revolves around Venky (Venkatesh) and Varun (Varun Tej), who get hitched to Harika (Tamannah Bhatia) and Honey (Mehreen Pirzada), after their marriages, they both decide to control their respective wives. However, their chauvinistic attitude often lands them in hilarious situations. F2 was featured in the "Indian Panorama" Mainstream section of the 50th International Film Festival of India.

Producer Bandla Ganesh, who made the money-spinner Badshah with Jr NTR, agrees that the last two years saw many comedy movies, barring a few big ones, bomb at the box-office.

“At one point, many producers and distributors considered laugh riots a safe bet, and many star comedians turned heroes to make a fast buck. But now, at least for the moment, comedy flicks have a hit a roadblock for sure,” Ganesh points out.

Indeed, some comedy heroes such as Sunil, Allari Naresh, Sapthagiri, Srinivas Reddy, Dhanraj, Priyadarshi and Shakalaka Shankar had their share of hits and flops as well. “It is a bleak situation. While I don’t want to take names, it is clear as daylight that now-a-days even a Rs-2-3-crore movie with a comedy hero has turned out to be a risky proposition,” adds Ganesh.

The film also stars Sapan Pabbi, Priyadarshi Pullikonda, Suhasini Maniratnam, Vidyullekha Raman and Hyper aadhi. The romantic comedy has received a positive response from fans on Twitter.

At the USA box office, the film entered the top 25 films. Thursday preview shows earned approximately Rs 98 lakhs, and on Friday the film collected Rs 1.8 crore. The film has held well throughout the weekend, not seeing much of a dip.

Directed by Venky Atluri, the film is produced by Dil Raju’s Sri Venkateswara Creations. The producer has been having great luck at minting money at the box office, after all his six films in 2017 had a great run at the box office.
